After obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Italian Language and Culture at the University of Leiden, I continued my studies in Italianistics at the KU Leuven (MA 2009, with a thesis about Petrarch’s “Triumphi”), completing my proficiency of romance studies with a Bachelor in French language and linguistics (2011) and a teacher’s degree (2012).
In October 2011 I had the opportunity to be involved in the FWO-project about Italian literary responses to the Eigthy Years’ War in the Netherlands. This gave rise to my current research at the KU Leuven about contemporary wars in Italian heroic poetry (+/- 1530-1630).
